  • Not at all. All you need is your existing mobile phone (a very basic mobile phone would do) and an email address. GiftMate vouchers are sent via simple SMS. Anyone can send you a GiftMate voucher on your mobile or you can add credit to your own mobile phone and spend it as you please.
  • GiftMate is a mobile voucher which is allocated against your mobile number and is NOT a paper voucher. Receiving a GiftMate voucher would mean getting an SMS and email from GiftMate with all the relevant details such as voucher amount, GiftMate PIN, validity and the sender’s name.   • Once you have successfully paid for the voucher, an SMS and email is sent to the recipient instantly. You too will receive an SMS confirmation of the voucher delivery instantly.   • Sure. It’s just like topping up talk-time on a pre-paid mobile phone. Multiple GiftMate vouchers automatically get clubbed together and you can use the combined value for a single transaction.
  • Every merchant has their own policies for returning goods, shipping etc. We suggest you understand the merchant specific policies before making the purchase since these are agreed directly between you and the merchant. However, if for some reason you are not satisfied with the goods you can get in touch with the merchant directly for resolution as per their policy.

  • GiftMate vouchers are typically valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Always remember to check the voucher validity which is always mentioned in the SMS and email or you can even log in to your online GiftMate account for details. Expired GiftMate vouchers cannot be revalidated or extended.
  • As per the recent RBI guidelines, the maximum limit to purchase a voucher is Rs. 1000. However, if you are using Citi reward points to purchase the voucher, your maximum purchase limit is Rs.5000.
  • No worries. Your voucher cannot be redeemed since every transaction needs to be authorized by the PIN which is known only to you. You can transfer your GiftMate balance to your new mobile number (on satisfying the terms and conditions) by getting in touch with our Customer Support Team.
  • Firstly, we recommend as soon as you get your PIN, you change it to something you can remember. To change your PIN, SMS GIFTPIN SPACE < new pin> to 5667711 or log in to your online GiftMate account. But in case you forget your PIN, then simply SMS GETPIN to 5667711 and we will instantly send you your PIN via SMS.
