  • Know Your Customer is a compliance requirement initiated by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to safeguard customer purchases and thereby transactions.
  • The RBI has made it compulsory to collect KYC documents on purchase of any pre-paid instruments. As a result, any customer purchasing a GiftMate voucher is requested to provide these documents.

  • It takes two business days to complete the KYC compliancy process.
  • You can send your documents via post/courier along with the duly filled & signed KYC form to the address mentioned below:-

  • As secure as sharing your documents with a bank. PayMate is a PCI DSS 1.2 certified company which means our data security standards are among the highest in the world. We comply with the most stringent global banking systems and processes for data storage and transaction processing. You will also find security certificate logos on our registration pages to confirm this. So be rest assured that your data is absolutely secure at every step.
  • You can maintain a balance of `10,000 on your GiftMate Essential voucher and `5000 on your GiftMate non-Essential voucher.
  • An essential voucher is categorized as a voucher purchased from.
    -        GiftMate website
    These can be used for Essential services only such as Mobile Recharge, DTH recharge.
  • These can be used across all services including mobile recharge, movie ticket purchases, flight ticket purchases, DTH recharge as well as any other retail or online purchases.
  • Your existing balance is already categorized into Essential and non-Essential. You can log-in to 'My Account'-section and know your account / voucher status.
  • While transacting for essential services e.g. Mobile recharge, your Essential voucher will be debited based on FIFO (first in first out) method i.e. the earliest voucher will get deducted first.
    Similarly, while transacting for non-essential services e.g. Movies, your Non-Essential voucher will be debited based on FIFO (first in first out) method i.e. the earliest voucher will get deducted first.
  • Yes, KYC is a one-time process subject to changes in RBI regulations.
